My Gear: My feet

Throughout the years I have accumulated quite a bit of gear, food, and other stuff that helps me train and stay sane.  These are the products I've found I love.

The Shoes/Running:

I am a supinator with flat feet so my shoes of preference have varied, but right now my kicks rotate between the asics gel kayanos and the asics foundations.  The foundations are much lighter than other motion control shoes, plus they make them in PINK!  The Kayanos are not motion control but instead stability shoes.  I can wear stability with orthotics and run well, not to mention these have some extra cushion in the heel which really helps with my bout of achilles tendonitis.

The Shoes/Cycling:  This is the Shimano tri shoe which I love mostly because my heels don't slip.  I have narrow heels and this tri shoe holds them in nice and tight.  I also don't have any problems if I choose to roll out sock less, not a single blister to date.  My one beef with this shoe is the velcro.  Many tri shoes have velcro, but these shoes velcro from the outside inward toward the crank.  This means that my shoes are a black mess from chain grease.  Although this hasn't been a huge problem it does make it hard to take off my shoes before dismounting my bike.  This is a very minor issue though and has nothing to do with comfort.

The fins/ Swimming:   These are the Finis zoomers fins.  Although I haven't used them much lately (achilles tendonitis makes it difficult to wear fins), I do still like them to help build a stronger kick, and most people know I need as much help as I can get being stronger in the water

The Socks/Running and Cycling:  Although I will go sock less when racing or wearing racing flats, I usually try to wear socks. Since my feet are pretty wide I stick to the fairly thin style of this sock.  They have kept my feet dry and are very durable.  All of my pairs are still intact with no holes to this day.
